    Overview

    The YMCA Level 3 Certificate in Leisure Management aims to provide the knowledge and skills needed to prepare a learner for employment as a first line manager in the active leisure sector, including the daily operation of a sport and recreation facility, dealing with staff performance and how to ensure the well-being and safety of customers.

    Health, safety and welfare
    Leading a team
    Promoting customer care
    Understanding employment rights and responsibilities
    Financial procedures
    Delivering objectives through the work of an active leisure team
    Supervising facility maintenance
    Marketing services and products to customers
    Operating swimming pool plant

    To achieve the YMCA Level 3 Certificate in Leisure Management learners must achieve a minimum of 18 credits. Learners must achieve the 6 mandatory units (16 credits), and a minimum of 2 credits from the optional units.
